When going into overview, no apps or anything would appear. It should look like this but when I opened the overview it was completely blank.

For example; you can search for apps in there, and no error would occur but rather just sit there searching.
Apparently, a gnome-tweaks extension causes issues with pop-shell.
The exact extension is the Apt update indicator, found here link.
Uninstalling it and rebooting solved the issue.
